Galactosemia Foundation, formally, Parents of Galactosemic Children, Inc is a non-profit charitable organization. Founded in February 1985 by a small group of mothers in New York, PGC realizes the need for further information and networking between affected families and professionals. Metabolic Clinics across the nation continue to assist PGC in researching families and information. Today our mailing list includes over 1000 families and extended families, professionals and clinics, media groups, donors, and numerous international contacts. Objectives and functions are achieved by unpaid volunteers.
