Kelley Foley MS, CCC-SLP

Kelley Foley has a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. She has worked for 17 years in a community based hospital in Chicago, Illinois where she lives with her husband Brian and their three children Ashlyn, Liam and Keegan. She has primarily focused her career on acute medical and rehabilitation needs of adult patients with swallowing disorders and various neurogenic, speech-language disorders. Their third child, Keegan, was diagnosed with Classic Galactosemia on day 4. Despite his relatively healthy start, he has childhood apraxia of speech, speech and language delays, hypotonicity as well as fine and gross motor deficits. He also has had other health issues along the way. Keegan now 5, is a vivacious, sweet boy and enjoys being like other boys. Brian and Kelley have hosted several small fundraisers for Keegan’s Kause through the years for the Galactosemia Foundation. They attended their first conference when Keegan was only a few weeks old and soon realized the need to stay involved to help find answers and support the community. Kelley is a member of the research committee for the Galactosemia Foundation.
