GRANDMA'S
CHOCOLATE PIE
Ingredients:
1 c. sugar
2 c. milk substitute (Almond Breeze, Rich's non-dairy creamer, or whatever)
2 tbsp.cocoa
4 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. margarine substitute (Fleishman's Unsalted)
1 pinch salt
2 egg yolks
1 pie shell
Directions:
Beat egg yolks in top of double boiler, add milk substitute and heat when
milk is warm. Add cocoa, flour and sugar. Stir until thick, turn off heat,
add vanilla and margarine substitute. Stir and put in pie shell. Bake
according to pie shell directions.
Meringue Topping
3 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pinch salt
Beat egg whites and salt until stiff. Add 1 cup of sugar gradually, beating
after each addition. Top pie with meringue and broil until brown.
